American-Hungarian relations were rarely closer on the personal level than in interwar years. Although United States followed path of political and diplomatic isolation from Europe 1920s 1930s, its absence League Nations was conspicuous, financial economic realm it remained more active, many Americans worked various reconstruction projects across either their private capacities or under auspices League.
